CastleStorm Multiplayer Modes

The clouds of war are gathering as we approach the spring release of CastleStorm, a new 2D real time strategy physics based destruction game from the developers of Pinball FX2.  We firmly believe that games are always more fun when you can play with your friends, so we have packed CastleStorm full of multiplayer and co-op modes for you to enjoy with the awesome Xbox LIVE Arcade community.

Multiplayer progression is totally separate from the single player campaign, allowing players the opportunity to level up and gain experience separate from the single player campaign. Today we are filling in the details on what you can expect from these modes, both local and online. There are three modes to choose from, each can be played in local split screen or online multiplayer and you can even use your own custom made castles!

1 vs. 1 split-screen mode: simply try and beat your opponent by bashing in their castle. Choose your side (the noble Knights or the ragtag Vikings) and then choose your arsenal of weapons wisely. Face off, castle to castle and the first to completely demolish his or her opponent’s castle wins!

Survival Co-op: Two players team up to fight off waves of enemies together! Assign one player to control the ballista and the other to control ground forces. Good timing and great aim are essential in Survival Co-op as friendly fire could be harmful to your own troops on the ground.

Last Stand Co-op mode: Would you rather ditch the castle and do some hand-to-hand combat out in the battlefield? Check out the Last Stand Co-op mode where both players control a hero and battle wave after wave of enemies together! The object is to stay alive as long as you can, but remember, enemies can come from either side so be ready.

Need help deciding what weapons are best and how to level them up? We’ll go over that in the next CastleStorm blog where we’ll be showing off the big guns… literally! You will learn all about weapons and spells like apple grenades, morning stars and even flying sheep (yes that is a weapon)! Be sure you’re subscribed to our YouTube channel and hit us up on Facebook or Twitter.

    Hi,

Evenn though I’m very happy Zen Pinball is finally here, I can’t seem to find Zen Pinball 2 on the wii U eshop today. Is there a problem, or is it just me? I don’t have problems downloading anything else.

    Thanks

OK, one last question since I’m not tech-savvy, and I can’t get a straight answer when looking this stuff up.
I see that there are tables on other platforms that are not on the wii U version. Like the Nightmare Mansion, Ninja gaiden, secrets of the deep and other fx tables.
Will the wii U be getting any of these? Or should we be looking into other versions?

Thanks for all of your help.
