Star Wars® Pinball Now Available on Nintendo eShop on Wii U™

Feel the Force with Star Wars Pinball on Wii U! The game is now available in North America for $9.99 and Europe for €9.99. Star Wars Pinball features three Star Wars themed tables: Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes BackBoba Fett and Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Players can choose to support either the Galactic Empire or Rebel Alliance with their high scores as the community fights for the Balance of the Force! The main game user interface will change dynamically, based on how the community chooses to support each side.

Star Wars Pinball supports the Wii U GamePad, allowing players to redirect the display to the GamePad screen from the TV and back. When used as the secondary display, the GamePad shows additional controls and info including the dot matrix, scores, and challenge information.

Additional game features include in-game challenges and score notifications, an XP progression system allowing players to move up the ranks based on Galactic Empire or Rebel Alliance support, Force Score and friends-based Team Score leaderboards, and several multiplayer modes.

I have been waiting for this for ages! WiiU is the go to platform to play Zen pinball! The gamepad is a perfect fit after playing all night on the big screen and you still want to play in bed! Gaming heaven!

    • Jay says:

Totally agree!! Cant tell you how many hours I’ve put into Zen Pinball just because I can play it on the gamepad while the TV is doing something else.

  8. Luminal says:

  11. Raven says:

It won’t even be in the current Zen Pinball 2, it will be standalone. Their excuse is because they want ‘cool menus’. Not sure if this is good or bad.

Wii U has so many controllers available, and Pinball only supports one? The gamepad…really?

    • Everly says:

I can say with complete certainty that it is a good thing. There are achievements and the whole balance of the force mechanic that ties all of the Star Wars table together. It is really well done!

I do agree that I wish the Classic Controller or the Pro Controller that plug into a Wii Remote would be recognized. For that matter, I wish they were able to include online multiplayer, but I’m just happy to get these tables and really hope that the Wii U will get future packs at roughly the same time as all other consoles, not months later.

    • somebody that I used to know says:

If you start the game while using the pro controller, then you can use that one to play. I have tried it. (click on the zen pinball/star wars pinball app while using the pro controller)

  12. Greg says:

purchased this today. I’m enjoying it, but I can’t seem to find local leaderboards despite entering initials after multiplayer games. Can you please help me find these if they exist?

    • Jay says:

They are there. just use your finger to ‘swipe’ left or right and cycle through the various leaderboards and messages. The online component wasn’t working for me when I tried last night, but the local leaderboard works fine

  13. Jay says:

Picked up SW Pinball from the eShop last night and I love it. In fact, i love all the Zen Pinball offerings and the Wii U is the best place to play them. I only have one tiny little gripe about the Star Wars pinball…. why didn’t you just add the tables to the Zen Pinball 2 lineup? Now I have to switch back and forth between the two games as I switch to the Marvel and other tables.

    • BarbieBobomb says:

We made it a separate game so we could include more features (like Balance of the Force and Jedi/Sith leaderboard rankings).

      • Jay says:

Fair point. However, it seems the game itself is running on the same engine. How about a feature to open both ZP2 & SWP at the same time for owners of both that like to jump from table to table?

Again, I love the game. Just suggesting minor tweaks to improve the experience

        • BarbieBobomb says:

Not sure that it would be possible on the Wii U, but I can pass the suggestion to the team. Thanks!

  14. Japanese gamer says:

Will it be also released for WiiU in japan?
    I`m really forward for it!!!
