Update Regarding Pinball FX2 for Xbox One and Table Transfers

First of all, we’d like to thank you all for your feedback on our announcement of the Xbox One version of Pinball FX2. We cannot underestimate the importance of your support, insight, and yes, even criticism regarding our projects.

We have a few announcements to make affecting Pinball FX2 fans and particularly the Xbox One version of the game.

Microsoft and Zen Studios have taken your feedback to heart, and seeing that many of you were very upset with the news that table transfers between Xbox 360 and Xbox One would not be happening, we have some good news for you! We will be able to implement table transfers on Xbox One starting from Pinball FX2’s launch. Any available table on Xbox One that was previously purchased for Xbox 360 can be imported to the new version free of charge.

However, as this process will take a bit more development time for the game, Pinball FX2 version of Xbox One will see a slight delay from its original release date this week to sometime in August. We apologize to any fans affected by this delay, but we pledge to make it up to you by incorporating this highly desired feature.

Once again, we cannot thank you enough for your support through this process, as well as Microsoft’s, who took your feedback very seriously and worked with us to implement this feature. And again, we do apologize for the delay while we create the Pinball FX2 experience that our fans both want and deserve. We’re excited to bring Pinball FX2 to Xbox One owners, to have their previous purchases honored and transferred, and we can’t wait to share with you what we’ve got coming in the future.

We thank you for your continued support!

Thank you guys so much. I can’t say I’m happy about a delay and was planning to download regardless of non transferring tables. But the fact that you guys care enough about the fans to go back and make this work is awesome! I bought several of the packs and several single tables. To be able to transfer those over is just icing on the cake. Thanks for all you guys do, can’t say how much I love FX and I will be counting down the days till release! -neo

  2. Bruno says:

Interesting, but i own only a 360 and a PC. Can’t you do the same to PC ? In fact some tables that i bought on Xbox 360 are not avalaible for PC, and i paid twices for others, it’s a shame.

  3. Peter Parsons says:

    Thank you so much.

I would not have repurchased or bought any new tables but now I’m all in.

Thank you for supporting your biggest customers! ;)

  4. Dean Bennett says:

I was one of 360 owners who has bought practically every table, and I did feel very aggrieved that I would get no recognition of that fact.
However, credit where credit is due and this news is very welcomed indeed and appreciated. I will feel very happy to keep supporting Pinball FX2 and Zen Studios, and of course enjoying the game content you make. I can continue to purchase without feeling I have been taken advantage of.

    Thank you!

  5. Vince says:

And the fans can’t thank you guys enough for fixing this. You’ve pretty much earned yourself a lifetime fan and I’ll remember this at every single table release. (Not that I didn’t already buy everyone). Thank you for caring about your customers and not just their wallets.

  6. Pinballer81 says:

Praise the sun!! Praise Zen studios for making this happen!! The delay is undeniably worth it. Thank you!!!

  7. wims says:

you’re juste the best, you killed microsoft !

  8. Pixelbuster says:

    I love Zen Studios

  9. x Big Pete x says:

Absolutely awesome, but what were MS thinking? Clearly not at all at that particular point in time! Anyway, they have done the right thing eventually. Thanks.

Thank you so much. This is great news.

  11. SRH says:

I see you deeply care for your fans.

  12. The Globalizer says:

Great news. Love how you guys support your game and the creativity of the tables. Now I’m back to only one reason to wish ill upon you and your offspring – these hard-as-nails achievements. :-D

  13. Alchor says:

This is the best news I’ve heard today!
You make the best pinball games. Thank you so much for this very valuable feature! I’m also looking forward to all the new tables you’re releasing. It’ll be nice to know they’ll be in good company from the start.

  14. DocSamson says:

What about the missing achievements that were capped off on 360?

  15. Hunter says:

That’s awesome of you guys. All of my multiplatform tables are on PS Vita and I don’t have a PS4 yet, but this will be great for the PBFX2 exclusives that I have on 360. I’m sure those that have a big 360 library if tables are loving this. Great work.

  16. GameBert says:

If I purchase a table on the Xbox One, will it be available on my Xbox 360 for free also? Or just 360▶One? Just want to know which system I should purchase new tables on to play on both systems. Thanks. 🎮🐱

    • ima420r says:

That is a great question! I can’t wait to see if it is answered. Would hate to buy on Xbone and miss out on playing on 360 too.

Another question is, can we transfer multiple times? Like if I transfer my tables on day one, then buy more on 360, can I transfer the new ones too?

    • BarbieBobomb says:

We don’t have details on that yet, but you will probably need to buy them on 360 first, then import to One. I will post details as soon as I have them.

  17. MattZach says:

Thanks guys, I am now buying the rest of the tables for the 360 as we speak.

  20. ima420r says:

Thanks for allowing free transfer of tables over to xbone. I will now give you guys my money again by purchasing the more recent tables I skipped over because I didn’t want to have to buy them again.

    You’re the best Zen Studios!

  21. Katkill says:

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I’m glad things got worked out, since I had no desire to repurchase the 20 tables again, it left me not wanting to buy any tables on the Xbox One since I prefer all of my tables in one location.

I don’t mind the delay at all if it means I can transfer my tables and have a single library.

    Thanks again.

  22. Dieter says:

Thank you! This is great news. I wasn’t sure if I’d bother downloading this on the xbox one, but now that I can transfer all my old tables, I’ll definitely grab it and try to complete my collection of tables by grabbing the ones I’m missing. I’m really looking forward to this!

  23. James says:

Microsoft is listening! Thanks Microsoft! :)

  24. robert marshall says:

haha now you have plety of time to work on the wii u if it ever happens

  26. Jason Hines says:

Are we going to be able to transfer the original Pinball FX tables to Xbox One, or just the FX2 tables?

  27. Jeremy says:

Great news! I am glad that Zen and MS could make this happen. This is a great game!!

  28. Jason says:

    Thank you for the transfer!
You folks do awesome work and I’m so glad I’ll be able to play all my tables on the xbone.
    Thank you!!

  29. Brian Costelloe says:

This news is awesome. In a time where we, as gamers, are use to reading bad story news this shows that there are some developers out there that do care about their fans!

I am only missing two purchases to have bought all the tables and I was holding out to see how this was going to unfold.

One question. Will high scores migrate over to Xbox One from the Xbox 360 tables?

  30. Riggy says:

As someone who has bought every single table for the 360, THANK YOU!

  31. Catticus XIII says:

Yeeeeeesss!! Will tables scores transfer as well or are we starting from scratch?

  32. JRColozzo says:

Are there any news about the releasw date of Pinball FX2 to Xone?

  33. Hardombre01 says:

How much time to we still have to wait? It is unbearable :D

  34. NH3 says:

Thanks for not forcing us to purchase the tables again! Bought Deadpool and Guardians immediately after reading the news. Hopefully, you’ll change the achievement situation after release. 1 achievement per table at 10 GS is pretty weak. Hope they aren’t all expert only or super easy achievements. Crimson Dragon added achievements with no dlc add on, so hopefully you’ll be able to add some to the game also.

  35. Jordan Rapoza says:

I previously had an XBOX 360 with several tables in my collection, and since then I have purchased a Playstation 3 and just picked up Pinball FX 2. Is there any way to transfer the tables that were previously purchased to my new game?

  36. pixell says:

Pinball fx 2 for windows phone 8.1 delayed or not? Any plans for this platform?

  37. Raphael Rodrigues says:

Would like to import some tables I have, but even the table being free still asks for credit card. Please get in touch with microsoft for her solve this, since they do not own a credit card.

  38. will says:

Yes very interested in a Windows 8.1 phone version. Lumia 1520 should have no issues with this game. Any release dates? Keep seeing tba ir spread released 2012 in Wikipedia… Which is obviously wrong.

  39. pixell says:

Waiting for Windows 10 (One store for phones and tablets)

  40. messabebonk says:

just bought xbox one today. i have all the tables queued that i have on 360 wich is all of them. Ha the one table on 360 that i thought i would never have is Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 cool man i get to try new table on xbox one. Umm but whats that 24cents thing when it says free it looks like im being charged a quarter??? um im a bit confused??? a lot confused. Im scared it wont let me play them??

    • BarbieBobomb says:

Not sure why it would only charge you a quarter, that is weird! Check with Xbox support and see if they can look into it, we don’t have access to player transaction information.
