Over the Halloween week and as part of our Steam launch celebration for Dread Nautical, we ran a fundraising event for Project Pinball. If you’re not familiar, Project Pinball is a nonprofit who channels a passion for pinball into bringing joy to children facing some of the biggest challenges of their lives. For this fundraiser, we were trying to raise enough money to place a pinball machine in a North Carolina Children’s Hospital.
And we did it!
Thanks to the amazing show of support from streamers around the world, we raised $12,002.35 for Project Pinball.
To make sure that point isn’t overlooked, let us re-emphasize it: This would not have been possible were it not for several amazing gamers—from pinball and RPGs—coming together to use their creativity, their passion, and their effort to do good in the world. The gaming community has so much potential to make a positive impact, and this is one great example.
